Emma got a new ride!

Dan was able to get out in the yard the other night after work and put together the awesome wagon that Karen bought Emma for Christmas. We cant wait to take Emma to the park in it - maybe this afternoon :) But at least she enjoyed doing laps in the back yard as a test run. I love being in the yard with Emma but it sure is work keeping the grass and flowers out of her mouth! May have something to do with the two top teeth that are cutting there way through the top! She is going to look like a little Easter bunny by the holiday weekend!

9 Months!

9 months has come and already gone! I cant believe it! I have obviously too busy enjoying it too even update the blog-I really have to get better at this! I love doing it - like lots of other things - I just need to find the time for it - again, like lots of other things!!

Emma is completely amazing us and we love every second we have with her - I am reminded often about how lucky we are to have everything that we do. She is absolutely into everything, her crawling has two gears! One just to get her somewhere and the other to get her into something that she shouldn't be playing with! Usually consists of chewing on a shoe - yes she is our child and not a puppy :) She is standing great on her own, but isn't quite sure if she wants to take a step or not-we hope she takes her time with this one! I know our lives will be forever changed once that girl can walk. I have a feeling it is going to be two steps and then just running!! She does great walking behind her walker - we have spent a lot of time in the hallway the past week just letting her do laps - we are all very entertained!

She will eat anything that you put in front of her and she is still sporting those two little teeth, although I believe another one will be joining anytime now. The drool and runny nose is in full swing this weekend!!

We are so excited for Spring to finally be upon us - it means a lot more time outside! FINALLY!! Off to enjoy the sunshine for the afternoon.

Seriously?!?

I really don't know where the time goes?!? How has it almost been a month since I last updated the blog! I really feel like things are moving at warp speed these days!! One day my sweet baby girl is just that and with a blink of an eye she is this little person who is pulling up on everything and literally just looks like she could take of walking any minute! It has been overwhelming to say the least!! The girl is changing so much everyday! I turn around and she is doing or eating something new!

She still isnt sleeping the best unfortunately!! After a few weeks of sleep training I feel like we have completely digressed and are back to our old ways! It is impossible to let that girl just stay in there and wimper - I cant do it! So we are back to the occasional 2 am wake up call! I could do without it, but if that is all I have to complain about I think we will survive it!

She has been an eating machine and is munching her way through all of the Stage 2 fruits and veggies! Hasn't come across anything she wont eat just yet. She seems to love munching on her teething biscuits more than anything. So I am inclined to maybe check out a few other finger foods this weekend! We shall see!

With all of the food she has been eating she has put on some weight! That little belly is not so little anymore! She jumped over the last month and is now almost weight in at 19lbs! It is about time for a new carseat! i can barely left that carrier, it is so heavy!!!

She loves pulling up on EVERYTHING!! Her toys, me, the couch and most of all her crib!! It is so funny to wake up to her just peering over the top of her crib! She looks like a little prisoner trying to break free - I think we are going to have a little climber on our hands! I swear she is just going to go right over the top any day now!! I know that realistically is not going to happen just yet but I think it is only a matter of time!!

Thank Heaven For Little Girls!

It is hard to believe that one year ago today we found out that our sweet little peanut was going to be a girl!! I will never forget the look on Dan's face!! And the questions that came up with so quickly about what life may be like with a girl! He quickly flashed forward to life with a 14 year old! Something neither of us want to spend anytime thinking about again!

The fun we have already had with this girl has been too much! She keeps us so entertained and I can not imagine what they years to come will bring!! I know that this girl will be a total blast, especially if the last 6 1/2 months are anything to go by!!

On an update notice Em is taking to eating solid foods like a pro!!! We have been through the orange category (carrots, squash and sweet potatoes) and we will next be moving on to the yummy greens! Hope she likes those as much as she has the orange goodies!! Then after we get through a couple of those we will try out some fruit.

Unfortunately she is not quite sleeping through the night anymore!! She seems to like getting up at 12:30 or 1 for a feeding, although she does go right back to sleep so we cant complain too much! But WOW, we are ready for her to get into a routine of sleeping through the night again! I am sure once we get it down again, teething will just flare back up! All part of it right!!!

We are off to Evansville for the weekend for a much needed visit with the family there! Looking forward to catching up with everyone and a night out with the gang!

Emmas 6 Month Photos

We did Emmas 6 Month photo session with my great friend Rachael Ice right after Christmas. Rachael just started leasing out some studio space so we got to play around! It was too fun and of course Emma loved it!!

Getting Things In Order

I challenged myself this year with trying to get things in order, this is much more than a resolution. I want to get the house in order, my day to day task in order, my work stuff in order, my closets in order, my body in order! Well you get the idea, the list goes on and on!!

We are making some progress with getting one of the rooms in the house in order! We have an extra bedroom that has served as an extra bedroom for sometime, but we simply arent getting too many house guests these days! I guess sleep overs with a 6 month old arent appealing to some - I have no idea why not?!? Well, with my guidance, we decided the back bedroom would be more useful as a playroom/craft room. We know that Emma will simply be aquiring more toys as the months go by and we figure why not get that room ready to be a suitable play room. We also would like to designate a small corner for me to have a craft work area. There are a ton of projects that I love working on, but it can be hard pulling everything out, working at the ktichen table and then putting everything back when I am done. A little space for my stuff would be awesome!! I have been searching the web for some inspiration and some of the craft rooms out there are AMAZING!!!!!!! I would give up my bedroom for some of them :)

As many others, I am on a mission to get us eating healthy and in shape. The healthy eating is going pretty good. Way less meals out and yummy groceries coming from Whole Foods, that part has been easy! I am just struggling with getting back in they gym. I get there quite a few times last month, but if I cant get there at my lunch break I struggle! As soon as that clock hits 5 I want to get straight to daycare and pick Em, everything else can be put aside. I only have a few hours of time with her each day and I am just not ready to give those hours up at the silly gym!!!
