Mission Accomplished!

Looks like all of my hard work and months of training paid off on Saturday!! With record race temperatures i took off at 7:30 am to compete in my first mini marathon - and what an experience!!! Along with 12,000 other runners we took to the street of Louisville for a nice 13.1 mile run in 80 degree weather - pretty hot for long distance running!!! Was a great race though and I truly had a great time running! I completed the course in 2:37, never in my life did I think I would spend that much time running!! I will be sure to post any other race pictures as i come across them - but here is one with my number one race day supporter!! Keep any eye out for more Derby week posts!!!
