May Madness!

Hard to believe that May has basically come and gone! What a busy month we had, but I must say a month of fun and relaxation was much needed after all of that mini marathon training, but I have to get back to it!

We kicked off May with an incredible Derby week! From all the fun pre Derby festivities, including a great free OAR concert down at 4th Street Live. Was a great start to the weekend for sure! Derby 135 was another great one for the books - lots of great company, mint juleps and Derby fashion - unfortunately no winning tickets!



After a short Derby recovery it was on to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! WHAT A TRIP! We had a total blast - truly a tropical paradise vacation!!! And we did more than just sip on pina coladas and relax, dont get me wrong we did do a lot of that! We went snorkeling - twice! Once in a cenote - wish is like an underwater carvern - it was crazy! Then around this awesome coral reef - it was like just being dropped in an aquarium! We also went rappelling and did a zip line excursion - lots of fun and some amazing views!!! Our resort was first class with amazing service - probably even better service with it only being 25% full after the swine flu scare - trust me the only thing that made us think about the swine flu while we were there is that we were eating and drinking like total PIGS!






After recovering from the most amazing trip ever!! Seriously EVER!! It was on to some R&R at the homestead! We were able to start some much needed curb appeal and have been quite pleased with the results - as in I cant believe I haven't killed all of the plants yet! We have it about half way where we want it - Dan has been working on some other improvements out there so we will have some pictures of the final makeover!



After a short relaxing weekend it was on to our first INDY 500 experience! And what an experience it was! We had a blast on our charter bus that took us, 45 others and a keg to the speedway!! Not quite like your Derby experience - this place was enormous!!! I mean there were like 100,000 people just in the massive infield - total insanity! I couldn't believe how big the place and the speed those cars went was completely crazy to me! But what a FUN day!!! And trust me I totally wanted to be Danica when that day was over!

Overall we had a fabulous month of May!! And now it is on to June, which once again is action packed!! I will be sure to keep you updated!
